Pumpkin Eater
04:10
|

They call me Pumpkin Eater
Come 'round town on a Sunday afternoon
I'm the harvest repeater
Through an October wind you'll see me very soon
Ever since I left my homeland
The fields in the village haven't been the same
I can make the plants grow so tall
Everyone around here surely knows my name
And as the Crow flies
You can see it in my eyes
With Pumpkin seeds I need to feed
On the story of the skies
Some say I come from the Earth
Others say I come from the Air
There are those who swear they've seen me
And there are those who say I'm not really there
I'm afraid I'll have to leave you
When the Beira Queen calls the December frost
Her mantle no longer is green
And I feel my life's work all will be lost
And with the Moon rise
You can see it in my eyes
With Rabbit's feet I feel complete
In the sunset I will rise

The Storm
04:04
|
|||
The wind began to howl
And all the people stood around
They Had no clue what was about to go down
Then the parade turned on the street
Drums and horns are playing loud
The stomping and clapping's such a sound
And all the families just lined up on the street
Watch the floats go drifting by
And on that fateful day, everything got blown away
The wind cast it all aside
As the thunder and lightning roared
And the sons and daughters cried
As the mothers and fathers tried
To get their children back inside
They all ran from the storm
The street was such a wreck
And no one knew what would happen next
By the time the storm was through
Five hours had been gone
It took a long long time
And if you go there now i think you’ll fine
All the people just joke and laugh
About that thunder and lightning day
And on that fateful day, everything got blown away
The wind cast it all aside
As the thunder and lightning roared
And the sons and daughters cried
As the mothers and fathers tried
To get their children back inside
They all ran from the storm

After Hours
04:41
|
|||
Severe confusion in the parking lot
To the left of the front gate, that punk got caught
He's been trying to loosen the screws on our ride
He's lucky if he makes it out half alive
Leaning back in our seats the rocket takes off
And when we hit the peak, try not to cough
Come on kick your shoes with me and aim towards the sun
Yeah, did you hear those screams? Told you this was fun
The gates are closed
And nobody knows
Oh, It's after hours
And hey, this place is ours
So let us throw the nights away, drinking whisky and champagne by the fire
And then when it turns to day, we'll just lurk back to the shade and hide for hours
Just picking flowers
Word is someone had went and called the cops
Now they got searchlights out behind the shops
how am I supposed to steal leftover food?
I'm telling you whoever did this has put me in a mood
The machines are on
and the staff is gone
Oh, It's after hours
And hey, this place is ours
So let us throw the nights away, drinking whisky and champagne by the fire
And then when it turns to day, we'll just lurk back to the shade and hide for hours
Just picking flowers

Underground
Underground
Baby I'm going
Underground (x2)
The cold white wind that wraps around your skin
Tickles your breath and calms your heart again
It gives us hope it gives us happiness
But lately I've been feeling it less and less
Underground
Underground
Baby I'm going
Underground (x2)
The flakes that fall and land upon your tongue
Are shades of the songs I wish I could have sung
The emptiness we both so deeply know
Will soon be filled to the top with winter snow
Underground
Underground
Baby I'm going
Underground (x2)
There's nothing left here to vegetate
Let's both make bears and hibernate
I know the cold will get us in the end
But at least I'll be going out singing with my friends
Underground
Underground
We're all going
Underground (x4)
